WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly activities related to accounts payable within the accounting department. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

· Receives and verifies vendor bills daily; reconciles & codes to correct general ledger account.

· Facilitates payment of vendors and submits to accounting director weekly.

· Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.

· All checks must be accurately scanned in during A/P distribution. Files must be kept accordingly in A/P File Folders.

· Reconciles monthly vendor statements and scan end of month statements in Folders accordingly.

· Keeps accurate and organized filling system.

· Assists with year-end audits.

· Maintain W-9 vendor information.

· Other related duties as assigned.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT

· Must be proficient in QuickBooks online or desktop.

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, mainly excel and QuickBooks.

· Must be reliable and have the ability to multi-task/Communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Comfortable with math and accurate calculations

· Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

· Must have a high school diploma or GED.

· Associates in Accounting is preferred.

· At least 2 years prior experience in an AP or AR related role.

WHAT TO EXPECT

· This role may be allowed to work in-office, remotely, or a combination of the two (hybrid), depending on the business needs.
