With the goal of assisting with the overall coordination and implementation of the organization's mission, vision and strategic plan to include the implementation of youth goals around STEAM, SEL and Youth Leadership Development in our programs- the Clinical Supervisor/Field Social Worker will:

• Provide Clinical oversight and support to all programs with a rotating schedule of on-site visits. Visits include classroom observations and direct supervision with Program Directors. Must be held in-person
• Develop and review all current health and safety, behavioral management, crisis intervention and clinical support protocols for the community centers to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Develop and implement Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) retraining program for staff;
• Work with program directors to identify appropriate interventions to support students in need of social and emotional interventions, working from a trauma informed framework
• Develop a sustainable SEL professional development plan for all staff
• Work directly with on-site Program Directors and staff to provide targeted professional development training around SEL, trauma-informed, classroom management, managing challenging behaviors and additional trainings needed based on classroom observations
• Build internal capacity for Program Directors and staff to continue SEL work when social workers or mental health services are not on-site
• Identify targeted resources and referrals for students and/or family members from community-based partners
• Work with site program directors and staff to develop and maintain an effective system of classroom management that encourages children to develop positive behaviors, encourage appropriate social interactions and meet development milestones
• Provide coverage and supervision for sites as requested, as needed or when Program Directors are off-site
• Facilitate workshops on different SEL related topics for parents and community members.
• Provide clinical support and coaching (in coordination with community center staff) for students to address any social or behavioral issues impacting their performance in the classroom Facilitate individual and small group coaching/mentoring sessions with staff weekly, on a regular, and consistent basis;
• Make safety and behavioral assessments regarding students’ health, safety, and/or well-being and develop safety and intervention plans accordingly, coach Program Directors and staff on this work;
• Provide immediate crisis intervention support as needed, including mediation support
• Provide family outreach and conduct parent/guardian meetings as appropriate
• Potential to supervise MSW interns (with SIFI certification) at each site
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and requirements:

• MSW required, LMSW/SIFI preferred
• Must be able to work 100% in-person (no remote work available)
• Local travel in Brooklyn required
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Must be familiar clinical frameworks such as SEL, Trauma-Informed care, restorative practices
• Must be familiar with early childhood, youth and/or social service agencies
• Professional communication skills with the ability to communicate with clarity, accuracy and tact, both orally and in writing
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, Publisher, Excel, Google applications, and must be able to learn DYCD Administrative Database
• Must be able to pass all OCFS background checks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
