About ESO Consultants:
ESO Consultants is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Labor Relations Consultant to provide support in collective bargaining efforts. The consultant will work closely with the university to ensure the most favorable outcome for the University. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in labor relations, collective bargaining, and a thorough understanding of the complex, multi-location, and heavily unionized environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Verifiable operating history of at least ten (10) years.
- Ten (10) years of experience providing similar services comparable in size, scope, and complexity to those required by the Contract.
- Experience as a chief negotiator or spokesperson in at least one (1) prior collective bargaining negotiation.
- Successful negotiation experience for at least one (1) collective bargaining agreement involving a large, complex, and multilocational employer.
- Authorization to do business in the State of New York.
The Labor Relations Consultant will be responsible for the following tasks and services:
- Develop recommendations and guidance for a cohesive and comprehensive Collective Bargaining strategy to drive value for the University.
- Act as a chief negotiator on behalf of the University in multiyear collective bargaining negotiations.
- Develop and implement strategies to resolve challenges and concerns from external non-affiliated parties.
- Collaborate with the University to achieve Collective Bargaining goals efficiently and with cost-saving intent.
- Provide advice, counseling, and guidance to support University-identified goals in the collective bargaining process.
- Perform any other related tasks pertaining to negotiating collective bargaining agreements and acting as a University spokesperson.
- Services will be provided as needed, both on-site and remotely, as directed by the University.
