Role: The Vice President, Insurance Solutions reports to Senior Vice President, USA and works closely with the Sales and Pre-Sales teams. The individual will focus primarily on the group/voluntary/work site market space and be responsible for developing leads and then leading sales cycle through to completed sale. The candidate is responsible for developing and closing sales for Equisoft’s insurance products. These include Equisoft’s front-end digital solutions as well as any partner products such as our Policy Administration solution. He or she will partner effectively with our Equisoft pre-sales, marketing, product, finance, and delivery teams as needed as well as any outside vendor partner. The Vice President will define sales strategies and initiatives in partnership with our marketing team and will be responsible for ensuring revenue and profit margins meet agreed upon targets. 

Your Day with Equisoft: 

  • Design and execute focused sales strategies and processes to drive growth 
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of sales prospects in US. 
  • Independently and pro-actively reach out and penetrate key target accounts 
  • Collaborate with marketing and pre-sales departments to ensure pipeline buildup 
  • Network and work with analysts and industry associations to position Equisoft as leading vendor 
  • Partner effectively with outside vendors to sell solutions.
  • Participate in seminars and conferences to demonstrate Equisoft’s expertise and its leadership and unique positioning in the insurance field. 
  • Oversee smooth transition from sales to Account Management as part of sales process. 
  • Creatively work with prospects to come up with the winning solution.
  • Develop strategies and plans to move prospects down the funnel 
  • Work with internal stakeholders to secure deal approvals across governance and pricing committees 
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of sales prospects in US. 

Requirements:

Technical  

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technology sales to Life insurance companies
  • Knowledge of Life and Annuity industry with focus on group/voluntary/worksite market space.
  • Proven sales ability to prospect and close large complex deals. 
  • Ability to generate and close high quality sales leads 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external partners 
  • Ability to situationally communicate with mid to C levels at prospective companies.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information
  • Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment
  • Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline

Nice to Haves:

  • Knowledge of Agile implementation processes and methodology. 
  • Experience selling Policy Administration Systems
