We are looking for a New York-based Artist Product Manager to join our global Artist Services team and support the growth of both our sound catalog and our riveting artist roster.
How you will make an impactAs an Artist Product Manager, you are responsible for meeting goals and targets related to release planning, packaging, and publication. You look after an ever-expanding set of artists and genres, making sure all tracks and releases get processed, are provided with artwork and other relevant assets, to ensure they get distributed to our ES Player as well as our partner DSPs. Your goal is to reach maximum exposure for our artists and their music through Epidemic Sound’s unprecedented network of creators and ambassadors.
Within Artist Services, we fuel our music partners and their exposure to creators with a wide range of administrative, processual, and product management services. Every month, we release hundreds of new songs across all genres. We’re seeking someone willing to help package, program, and manage all releases and artist services for our riveting North American roster, in order to continue to expand both our business and the immediate role carrying it out.
A typical day for an Artist Product Manager in the Artist Services team involves:
Package tracks into bundled single/EP/LP releases (track order, product type, title, cover art, etc) and make sure that products reach all streaming services together with our in-house catalog management team
Manage and orchestrate the full end-to-end release workflow for a set amount of artists and releases under management;
Partner with our A&R team to power our music output to various services (incl. ES Player) in order to achieve maximum impact for our releases, i.e. generate footprint and exposure for our artist vis-a-vis our storytellers
Support our artist roster base through a host of custom artist services pulling from the team’s own budget, incl. but not limited to strategic rollout advisory, promotional assets ordering, copywriting, pitching, and others
Fuel a variety of initiatives within our Sound Domain, contributing to new music commissions, metadata enrichments, and programming strategies.
Who you areWe’re looking for someone with a skillfully operational mind, superior organizational chops, and a strong understanding in a multitude of music genres who’s also well-versed in today’s digital music industry specifics, content delivery networks, sync placements, and next-generation music technology.
You have a proven track record of at least 2-3 years working at record labels, publishers, catalog management, artist management, multimedia content programming or in a related domain. Previous experience in product management, artist services, music supervision, streaming platforms, music tech, production companies etc. would be a key edge.
As a person you are diligent, friendly, conscientious, disciplined, self-motivated and results-oriented. You pay excellent attention to detail and have strong organizational skills, coupled with the ability to initiate and drive improvements. You are great at prioritizing work effectively under pressure, as well as maintaining professional decorum. Fluent spoken English language and impeccable writing skills are a must.
Salary rangeThis is a full-time position in New York and you would be provided benefits such as dental, health, medical, and vision plan options, 30 days vacations a year accrual, 6 months parental leave, 401k saving, and wellness benefits. This position has a compensation span of 71,000 - 86,500 USD yearly.
