Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Engineer located in Las Vegas, NV. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems for electro-optical products. The role requires interacting with cross-functional teams such as Electrical, Optical, and Firmware Design as well as Manufacturing teams for the production of EO products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with minimum 5 years of relevant experience or a master's degree in the aforementioned field with 3 years of relevant experience. Ph.D. in the relevant field is considered as an asset
• Proficient in 3D modeling tools such as Solidworks, with 2D tools such as AutoCAD or Drafting.
• Experience with FEA, CFD, and Solidworks simulation tools and the ability to perform Dynamics, structural and thermal analysis.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and properties.
• Experience with designing mechanical parts or assemblies for production, such as machining or additive manufacturing using SolidWorks.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
• Previous experience with system-level integration of Electro-Optical devices is considered a plus.
• Previous experience with military projects or R&D projects in the aerospace industry is considered a plus.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to government contracts.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
