Company DescriptionEnerex is Retail Energy's trusted data platform, providing secure connectivity the entire value chain: Brokers, Suppliers, Agents, Customers and Utilities to drive efficient transactions.Our flagship service, Sparkplug is the #1 retail energy sales platform in the world, powering over 10% of US commercial and industrial (C&I) transactions.Our other products and services compose a comprehensive platform for retail energy suppliers, brokers, agents and customers.Job DescriptionAs a Product Lead, you will run a team of 10-20 developers, DBAs, QA and analysts overseeing a product in the Enerex portfolio. ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor an agile team, perform career coaching, conduct 1:1s and provide feedback, set up goals and objectivesRecognize trends affecting delivery goals and support team decisions on short- and long-term resolutions, removing roadblocks when necessaryRecognize trends across incidents and ensure true root causes are identified and fixes implementedUnderstand and plan for the product roadmap and maintain awareness of broader technical and business changes impacting the teamDevelop short-, mid-, and long-term key results with the team to achieve team objectivesGuide, mentor, and influence team members regarding architecture, best practices, and technical directionsOverview SDLC process and provide guidance to the teamEliminate impediments and roadblocks of the team membersAct as scrum master by overseeing sprint activatesSupport, advise, and guide team on the estimation and approach for product implementation and enhancementsWork with a Product Manager to understand the requirements and negotiate the right product deliveryManage Amazon AWS environmentsGauge progress of various projects and communicate effectively with customersWork with product stakeholders to plan for and perform prospective releases and projectsCollaborating with customers as a technical expertEnsure practices followed by the team focus on consistent quality, maintainability, operational excellence, and scalabilityMentor and support team members on any of the above responsibilitiesQualificationsMinimum QualificationsExperience with C#, .net and MSSQLExperience mentoring and developing engineering team; helping to grow individually and as a team by aligning focus and executing on commitmentsKnowledge of professional software engineering best Agile practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, deployment, rollback, testing, operations, and monitoringExcellent prioritization and time management skills capable of leading multiple projectsAbility to effectively share technical information, communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of the businessPreferred QualificationsExperience working in Saas companyExperience with AngularAWS knowledge and certificationEnergy (utilities, not oil & gas) industry backgroundAdditional InformationEnerex is a company based on values and our core values reflect how we treat our customers and our team members.
