WHERE YOU FIT IN

As a Product Designer at Shell Energy Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the design vision for our products, ensuring a seamless and delightful user experience across various facets of our business. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will leverage your design expertise to transform concepts into visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. This role encompasses collaboration with B2B, B2C, Agent Services, Mid Office, and Back Office segments, requiring adaptability and a holistic approach to design.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of our diverse user base, spanning B2B, B2C, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze user feedback, market trends, and competitor products to inform design decisions.
  • Translate user insights into design concepts and wireframes that cater to the unique requirements of B2B, B2C, Agent Services, Mid Office, and Back Office functionalities.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders from different segments to define product requirements and specifications.
  • Create interactive prototypes that address the specific needs of each business segment, ensuring a tailored user experience.
  • Iterate designs based on feedback and user testing across B2B, B2C, and internal operations to refine the overall user experience.
  • Develop high-fidelity visual designs that align with the overall brand and product strategy, considering the distinct requirements of B2B, B2C, Agent Services, Mid Office, and Back Office operations.
  • Create user interfaces, iconography, and other visual elements to enhance the aesthetic appeal of products across different segments.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in B2B, B2C, Agent Services, Mid Office, and Back Office to ensure a cohesive and integrated design process.
  • Communicate design rationale and decisions effectively to stakeholders across the business segments.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system that accommodates the diverse needs of B2B, B2C, Agent Services, Mid Office, and Back Office functionalities.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design to continually enhance your skills and contribute innovative ideas to the team.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 4 years of professional experience in product design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects and a user-centered design approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to balance creative thinking with analytical problem-solving.

LOCATION & WORKING SCHEDULE

  • Required to be in-person in Houston, TX through a hybrid workplace environment.
