Encore Luxury Coaches is Hiring an Automotive Parts Specialist (Diesel Knowledge Preferred) Near Whites, TN

Your Role

As a Diesel Maintenance Parts Specialist at Encore Luxury Coach, your role is crucial in ensuring our Service department runs smoothly. You will use our fleet maintenance system to manage parts inventory and support prompt delivery to Diesel Technicians and other departments. Additionally, you will assist in assembling parts for major service tasks related to coach repairs. Previous inventory control experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Keep track of parts inventory using our fleet maintenance system, ensuring we have the right parts on hand.
  • Parts Delivery: Pick up and deliver parts to Diesel Technicians and supporting departments promptly, minimizing downtime.
  • Coordination: Work closely with the Service department to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Quality Control: Assist in inspecting incoming parts to ensure they meet specifications before distribution.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep detailed records of parts transactions, assembly creation, and service tasks within the fleet maintenance system.
  • Collaboration with Service Department: Work closely with the service department to understand their needs and ensure that parts and assemblies are available as needed for repair tasks.

Minimum Requirements

  • Basic understanding of automotive parts and maintenance
  • Strong organizations skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Requirements

  • Basic understanding of diesel parts or heavy duty equipment

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms, to stand, walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, push or pull and lift up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The production floor work environment is usually noisy and dusty. It does not always maintain a consistent temperature but is dry. Noise levels are moderate to high with some chemical odors present. When on the production floor, PPE is required where noted.

Safety Requirements

  • Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment including and not limited to gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and or a respirator may need to be worn when handling hazardous products or working in hazardous environments.
  • Maintain and participate in keeping personal work areas, shop, and tools clean and in proper working order to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Hazardous materials are used in the production process. Employees must follow all safety guidelines and know evacuation procedures, the location of first aid stations, and SDS locations in areas they work or visit on Company property.
