Emily Management LLC is Hiring a Marketing Manager Near Chicago, IL

As Marketing Manager you’ll play a key role in executing the day-to-day marketing activities that support the hotel and its food and beverage outlets. Both strategic and creative in your approach, you’ll work with the operations, sales, and revenue to develop unique campaigns, guest experiences and community partnerships that drive revenue, grow brand awareness and align with the brand’s pillars of art, sustainability and community. The successful candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excel at managing dynamic tasks and diverse marketing projects with ease and strategic finesse, and experience in managing the various facets of hotel marketing including copywriting, social media, public relations, digital marketing, and event planning.

What Will You Do?

  • Work with DOSM to develop and execute annual integrated sales & marketing plan and budget.
  • Develop marketing strategies for Emily, Fora, Selva, Coffee Bar, Stones Throw and Rooftop Cinema club, including creating and monitoring social content, digital campaigns, and online reviews.
  • Create campaign briefs and lead strategic integrated campaigns that drive hotel and F&B revenues, create guest loyalty, and align with the brand’s pillars of art, community, and sustainability.
  • Support the sales team, maintain content on company websites, content on 3rd party sites, content on business listings and eMarketing campaigns adhering to brand voice requirements and timeline across multiple platforms.
  • Assist with traditional marketing including creating packages, promotion campaigns, flyers and seasonal campaigns to support each of the revenue centers of the hotels including hotel rooms, Meeting and Catering Events and activations.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate reports on all marketing campaign performance.
  • Social media
    • Work with agency and corporate office on monthly content planning.
    • Assist with daily engagement.
    • Assist with capturing in the moment content as the on-property contact.
    • Act as onsite contact to manage influencer relations and collaborations.
  • Website
    • Maintain offers section.
    • Plan, write and curate journal content.
    • Maintain F&B sections and websites w/ current menus, offers.
    • Work with corporate office to keep photography and content fresh & accurate.
    • Work with corporate office & agency partners to review SEO, user experience quarterly.
  • Email marketing
    • Implement tactics to grow database.
    • Plan and write monthly eblast content– w/ focus on stay offers, on property/community activations, journal editorial content and F&B happenings.
    • Work with agency on monthly F&B eblast content.
  • Manage property photoshoots – architectural, lifestyle, food & beverage.
  • Events, Activations & Partnerships
    • Curate on property events or plan participation in local events that support The Emily’s commitment to the arts, sustainability, and community.
  • PR
    • Act as the onsite point of contact for agency on record.
    • Prepare resumes for visiting media.
    • Host media as required.
  • Paid Media
    • Work with DOSM to provide direction on offers, targeting and creative for paid social, search and display.
    • Meet with agency monthly to review analytics and adjust strategies to meet goals.

What You Bring?

  • 2 years working in Marketing in the hospitality, travel or tourism industry preferred
  • Post-Secondary Education with a focus in Marketing or other related field
  • Excellent understanding of and proven track record with executing integrated owned, paid and earned media strategies for hotels.
  • Previous experience with email marketing platforms and executing email marketing strategies across a consumer journey.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Strong copywriting skills with an eye for detail and design
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Design Suite
