The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis is a highly motivated, influential, and experienced leader responsible for supporting value creation through budgeting and forecasting, new business ventures, ad hoc analyses and reporting. Developing key performance indicators measuring the financial health of the organization or assigned units or functions. Reviewing past and current financial performance against budgeted estimates and developing models that assist management in understanding the financial impact of business decisions. Developing strategies meant to assist the organization in meeting its long-term financial objectives.
Must be highly motivated and able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively with others including physicians, executives and investors. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized. Must hold high integrity, including maintenance of confidential information.
Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence others. Based on business need, must have the ability to travel and work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as approved in advance.
Duties and responsibilities
§ Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of services, expenses and capital expenditures.
§ Oversee team of financial analysts
§ Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Proforma modeling tools.
§ Support M&A initiatives and participate in due diligence activities
§ Develop and utilize pricing tools for new business opportunities
§ Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
§ Create Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports in support of CFO
§ Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
§ Supporting Senior Management Team with in-depth analysis
§ Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team.
Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
· 5-10 years plus years of experience in financial planning and analysis
· 5 years of experience in management
· Private Equity and, or, healthcare experience would be a plus but we are looking for a talented leader to help drive enterprise value
Specialized knowledge:
· Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with planning and reporting systems (ex Hyperion) also a plus
· Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
· Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
