Southern Industrial Constructors is looking for Maintenance Technicians to work for our Maintenance Division on a site in Miramar, FL. This individual requires the ability to support site maintenance activities through the safe performance of a wide range of manual and skilled labor tasks, including day-to-day inspections, maintenance, and repairs of plant facilities. The shifts are : Second shift - approx. 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Third shift - approx. 11:00pm - 7:30am.

Essential Functions / Duties:

• Moving office furniture.
• Assembly of shelving and workbenches.
• Replacing ballast and lamps.
• Painting, touchup and cleaning facility as directed.
• Basic experience in 120 volt electrical applications and tasks.
• Basic experience in plumbing tasks
• Support other maintenance employees as directed.
• Ability to use and operate hand and power tools such as electric drills, air drills, hand wrenches, and other tools as needed in a safe, efficient manner.
• Enter and maintain records, including but not limited to CMMS work orders and preventive maintenance records.
• Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Analyze and resolve work problems.
• Must have the ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Considerable knowledge of safety standards and precautions pertaining to plant maintenance and repair work.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
• Have thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of maintenance duties.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years’ experience related to general industrial facilities maintenance.

Working Conditions / Physical Effort:

Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, freezers and warehouse with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property. Must be able to effectively use any required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Strenuous physical demands are required to perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools. Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working on ladders and in awkward body positions.
