About the Opportunity

The Technical Support Representative is responsible for supporting ELGi North America's distributor network and customers by serving as the subject matter expert on servicing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing ELGi compressed air systems. In addition, the Technical Support Representative supports the Service Department within ELGi North America by capturing and tracking end-user feedback and warranty claims.

As Technical Support Representative for ELGi North America, you will:

  • Provide daily service and support to field service technicians and end-users by phone and e-mail
  • Provide technical manuals and specification materials to distributors and customers as required to assist in the servicing of compressed air systems
  • Assist Production Technicians with compressed air system testing as needed
  • Assist field service technicians in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of compressed air systems in the field
  • Coordinate with the factory service department on gathering and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for the servicing of compressed air systems
  • Produce and maintain internal records for tracking warranties within the warranty tracking system
  • Log customer feedback regarding compressed air system issues or enhancement suggestions in the customer support system
  • Log and track replacement parts and warranty credits for in-house compressed air equipment, parts, and accessories
  • Enter customer credit memos into the ERP for warranty reimbursement
  • Other tasks as needed or assigned

About You

The Technical Support Representative opportunity may be a match for you if you have the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years' customer service or technical experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Operating System
  • Proven ability to read electrical schematics and understand complex electromechanical systems
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
