Job Summary

The Technical Support Specialist position is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting to Compass Group associates remotely and in person. As a member of the User Support Services team, the Technical Support Specialist is charged with support of user access, hardware, peripherals and applications.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and user support via phone, ticket, chat and deskside to resolve desktop, laptop, mobile device operational and connectivity problems.
  • Assist with setup, configuration, and support of desktops, laptops, smartphones & tablet technologies in assigned office.
  • Liaison with support and engineering teams to enable support of LAN/WAN, server hardware, and business applications specific to the office.
  • Ensure timely installation / support of hardware covering standard desktop and laptop hardware models.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Job Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of progressive experience in end-user computing support and desktop support, preferably in a corporate environment
  • B.S. Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or certificate from accredited technical school is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple operating systems, Internet browsers
  • Experience installing and supporting PCs, printers, peripherals, routers, etc.
  • Must have strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and thorough with assignments
