We are a leading nursing home committed to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. As we continue to grow and expand our services, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Director to join our team and lead our human resources department.

Position Overview:

As the HR Director for our nursing home, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of human resources functions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support our mission of providing outstanding care to our residents. The HR Director will lead recruitment efforts, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, and benefits administration.

This role will also involve scheduling adequate coverage for all nursing and cna shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the nursing home's goals and values.
  • Scheduling Nurses and CNAs for all shifts.
  • Oversee recruitment and selection processes, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Manage employee relations, addressing grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary matters fairly and consistently.
  • Lead performance management initiatives, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to employment, health, and safety.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including healthcare, retirement, and leave policies.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports for management as needed.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in HR management and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting.
  • Must have recent experience as a Scheduler within a healthcare facility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
