Element Medical Imaging is Hiring a Radiology Operations Manager Near Overland Park, KS
The Radiology Operations Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and monitoring the radiology operations within multiple centers. The position oversees daily responsibilities in the following modalities: General Radiology, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, Breast Imaging, and Ultrasound.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Center Operations
Implements programs, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation
Interfaces with radiologists to create and maintain up-to-date protocol manuals for all modalities
Maintains a safe environment for patients, technologists, radiologists and other employees
Responsible for addressing and resolving complaints related to services, care and operations issues
Oversees equipment service and performance and troubleshoots equipment failures. Makes recommendation for equipment purchase and replacement. Manages supply and inventory control.
Staff Management
Oversees and assists in hiring and training of new clinical staff
Responsible for staff performance management and evaluations, compensation recommendations and development of clinical staff
Ensures all technologists are compliant with CEU credits, in good standing with appropriate registries, updated with CPR credits, etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Requires use of office equipment, such as computers, fax machines, telephones and copiers
Requires computer-related activities for extended periods of time
Requires the ability to see, hear, walk, stand, sit, reach, write, and key
Requires travel between centers
May require some lifting, bending and stooping
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES) REQUIRED:
Knowledge of current technical skills and procedural understanding of radiological scanning
Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
Skill in written and verbal communication

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited imaging program is preferred
Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in a related field is preferred
5 plus years of related medical experience, preferably in outpatient radiology imaging
PACS/RIS knowledge is required
Must have knowledge of multiple modalities in Imaging, including specialty procedures
