We have an immediate opening for an Operations Manager in our Overland Park, KS office. The Operations Manager, North America, is responsible for the overall management of facilities and administrative support across MMGY Global’s North American offices. This role is a central services position for the company, providing support across all staff regardless of Company Brand.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the management and administration of four key areas: facilities management, office administration and team culture/events.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Work directly with property management to ensure the upkeep of MMGY Global’s headquarters in Kansas City and collaborate with office leads across North America to manage other locations.
  • Serve as the direct report for office coordinators in locations where budget allows.
  • Assist Chief of Staff in executing office projects and enhancements, including but not limited to inventory stocking/organization, signage installations, general building repairs, parking, desk assignments, junk removal, etc. Review vendor contracts and leases, manage project timelines, track budgets and coordinate schedules.
  • Manage annual supplies budget and coordinate all third party suppliers/vendors across North America including office cleaning, company shipping, snack and beverage services, etc.
  • In partnership with HR and IT, develop and communicate office policies including onboarding information, safety and security protocol, and global process changes.
  • Support Chief of Staff and senior leadership in scheduling and facilitating large onsite meetings and events.
  • Oversee Culture Crew budget and activities for all of North America. Plan large agency parties and philanthropic events, ensuring activities are in line with Company mission and values.
  • Coordinate global “Flight School” training program, refreshing content as-needed and communicating program benefits.
  • Build and distribute monthly “Flight Tracker” e-newsletter and send other internal comms as needed. Work with VP, DEI & Corporate Communications to keep company Intranet up-to-date.
  • In partnership with the Manager, Corporate Travel & Events, track interoffice travel and manage corporate apartment in Kansas City. Assist with travel booking and system training when needed.
  • Assist the Chief of Staff and executive leadership team with special projects and perform other administrative duties as needed to support the business.
  • This position may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to ensure appropriate coordination of office activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Previous experience in office administration
  • 4-year degree preferred but not required
  • Management/Leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong project management skills and experience overseeing budgets
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with phone and email systems a plus
