Responsibilities

As a key member of our Corporate Human Resources Team you will be responsible for the following activities in support of our various post acute care communities throughout Western NY and the North East:

  • Provide oversight, support and guidance to all field HR personnel in all HR functional areas including payroll, compliance, training, benefits, recruitment and employee relations.
  • Assess, promote, recommend and implement best practices and streamlined efficiencies where appropriate.
  • Promote a conducive, positive working relationship amongst corporate HR and field HR.
  • Act as liaison between Administrators and HR field staff to ensure process/procedure efficiency.
  • Propose, develop and implement relevant and standardized HR processes throughout company and region; strive to eliminate redundancies in processes.
  • Ensure all systems in all HR functional areas are optimized to maximize efficiency, results and ease of use.
  • Recommend and report on metrics to help manage the effectiveness of HR, its programs and processes.
  • Develop and execute easy and accessible tools, manuals, research methods, and best practices.
  • In coordination with Corporate HR team, establish relationships and collaborate with vendors as needed.
  • In conjunction with the Corporate HR team, develop recommendations on HR issues and strategy.
  • Provide consult and recommendations on HR policy and practices consistent with Corporate HR strategy and philosophy.
  • In coordination with Corporate HR team, develop and communicate approaches to cover site staff HR function in short term HRC/HRA absences or vacancies (ie. PTO, DBL, terminations, etc.).
  • Conduct regularly scheduled and "as needed" on-site visits to train, audit, develop strong relationships with site HR representatives and local leadership teams.
  • Participate in and/or leads special projects as necessary within HR Department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years HR Generalist/HR Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of payroll, labor and employment laws, recruitment, talent management, benefit management and administration
  • Demonstrated abilities in training and development in both one-to-one and large group settings
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, various platforms and softwares (ATS, HRIS a plus)
  • Current valid drivers license
  • PHR or SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Healthcare experience (both union and non-union) preferred
  • Travel approximately 20-30%
