The successful candidate must have:

• At least 5 years of property management experience with strong knowledge of HUD Section 8, and/or other affordable housing programs.
• A desire to exceed expectations and provide exceptional service to strengthen real estate value.
• Exceptional written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee the daily operations and management of the property
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and fair housing guidelines like Section 8, HUD, etc.
• Develop and implement property management policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of property activities, including leasing, maintenance, and financial transactions
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance requests
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address any issues or concerns
• Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner
• Market available units and screen potential tenants to ensure a qualified applicant pool
• Negotiate lease agreements and enforce lease terms
• Collect rent payments and manage delinquencies
• Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts

Qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for facilities management
• Proven sales skills to effectively market available units and attract qualified tenants
• Experience in real estate administrative tasks such as preparing contracts, managing leases, and maintaining tenant records
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills are essential
