Summary Description:
Oversees and manages the day to day administration and direction of the company’s Human Resources Department, Training and Recruiting functions. Responsible for providing leadership and execution in the development, implementation and administration of HR procedures and practices that support the company's initiatives and goals.
Major Responsibilities:
· Responsible for overseeing all human resource issues including staffing, Team Member relations, orientation and development, compensation and benefits.
· Develop detailed training programs for all levels departments, to include CBT programs.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
· Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
· Will continuously improve and develop the entire HR function with the support of the senior leadership team.
· Designs and implements human resources strategies, plans and objectives that are aligned with overall business operations.
· Provides strategic and day to day coaching and leadership to management team to influence business objectives.
· Perform ad-hoc reporting in Paylocity system and coordinate the processing of all HR reports
· Research payroll and tax-related problems and inquiries
· Oversees and performs record management through payroll system
· Develop and implement an effective wellness program for all team members.
· Oversees weekly payroll process
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. SHRM certification (PHR/SPHR) preferred.
· 2-5 years of human resources experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and management experience.
· Must have knowledge of relevant federal, state and local regulations relating to Human Resources.
· Experience processing payroll for a company with 300 employees (experience processing payroll in a retail environment preferred)
· Human Resources experience in the retail setting preferred
