STEM Student Support and Retention Specialist
SALARY:$48,864 - $55,224

DESCRIPTION: Edmonds College is seeking a STEM Student Support and Retention Specialist.
The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Student Support and Retention Specialist facilitates STEM student success by coordinating student support services and acting as a primary resource person for all STEM students. Position priorities include:
Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of student resources (both academic and non-academic) and serving as a primary point of contact for all STEM students; providing advising and mentorship to students as needed; developing and maintaining various academic resources; maintaining STEM/RiSE web pages; and purchasing food and supplies for STEM Study Room and student events.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is typically performed in an office setting and onsite/in-person. The ability to sit at a desk/computer station, bend, stoop, walk, and generally move around the office to consult with others, work within a busy environment, and remain focused on tasks. Inventory management requires some lifting and moving of objects up to 30 lbs. Excellent communication skills are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English and will include communication with people for whom English is not their first language. This also includes the ability to produce clearly written documents. Those who are multilingual are strongly encouraged to apply.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Occasional evening and weekend events may require adjustments to the regular work schedule.
COMPENSATION:
Salary range 48. Beginning salary is $48,864 - $55,224 annually, with progressive increases to $65,748, plus a full state benefits package, which includes tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options, and more. The vacation and leave package includes 12 sick days per year, 11 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, 2 personal leave days, and 14 vacation days per year (incremental increases to 24 vacation days per year).
