Interim Associate Director - Office of International Programs
SALARY:$63,883.25 (prorated for an 8-month Contract)
LOCATION:Lynnwood, Washington
DESCRIPTION:
Under the general direction of the Director of International Marketing and the Director of International Outreach/Global Engagement, this position will recruit, orient and advise prospective study abroad students; plan and implement quarterly online and in-person new international student orientation and quarterly Culture Talks; field all inquiries related to Short-Term (contracted) Programs, negotiate program costs, plan, and implement specialized short-term programs; recruit, hire, train and supervise part-time hourly employees to support relevant programs; lead the quarterly activity programming and campus wide activities as needed, including the coordination and implementation on International Education Week.
This position is one of the first points of contact for new students and is an integral part of creating community and connecting students to campus services. Their work contributes to maintaining happy, healthy, and fulfilled students more likely to be successful in their student life and thus more successful in the classroom.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is typically performed in an office setting, and onsite/in-person. The ability to sit at a desk/computer station, bend, stoop, walk and generally move around the office to consult with others, work within a busy environment and remain focused on tasks. Inventory management requires some lifting and moving of objects up to 30lbs. Excellent communication skills are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English and will include communication with people for whom English is not their first language. This also includes the ability to produce clearly written documents. Those who are multilingual are strongly encouraged to apply.
COMPENSATION:
Salary is $63,883.25 (prorated for an 8-month Contract) and is based on the Edmonds CC administrative/exempt salary schedule, plus a full state benefits package, which includes tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options and more. Vacation and leave package includes 12 sick days per year, 11 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, and 24 vacation leave days per year.
WORK SCHEDULE:
OIP’s operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., including some evening and weekend work. Position is interim for 8 months between May and December.
FLSA Status:
The position is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act requirements.
