East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging is Hiring an Executive Assistant Near Jonesboro, AR

Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Executive Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and is responsible for office management of the Executive Directors office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs general office duties. Maintain files, some of a confidential nature.
  • Maintains daily record of Executive Director's activities. Schedule appointments.
  • Provides clerical support during Agency meetings required by the Executive Director.
  • Oversees the office mail procedures and special mail requirements of the Agency’s departments.
  • Manages Agency property and Agency rental property.
  • Provides supervision and instruction to custodian.
  • Serves as the Agency’s purchasing agent as it applies to general office supplies.
  • Performs general management of data management of the Executive Director and provides assistance to other Departmental Directors when needed.
  • Assist in coordinating Agency special events and conferences by overseeing travel details and clerical support.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

This is a Safety Sensitive Position

Hourly Salary $16.67

Basic Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 2 years related experience and/or training, and 7 to 11 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED

Intermediate: Microsoft Office, Presentations, Database, Web Based

Basic: 10-Key, Word Processing/Typing
