Description

Position Title: Human Resources Associate

Location: Upper St. Clair, PA

Department: Administration

Reports To: President

Compensation: $20/hour

Type: Part-time 

Summary: A Human Resources Associate at EAFab is responsible for creating a positive, productive, efficient, and safe workplace through the effective administration, coordination, and implementation of HR functions. As an HR associate, you will also be a part of the executive management team and will serve as counsel to the CEO on all HR-related issues. The key focus for this position is building and maintaining a healthy culture at EAFab.

Core Responsibilities:

· Ensure a safe and engaging working environment, free of harassment and discrimination

· Maintain absolute discretion when handling all personal and company matters

· Implement strategic solutions to meet workforce demands and trends, while effectively managing the recruitment process to achieve high retention rates

· Oversee company-wide policies and procedures, and provide guidance to supervisor to ensure competitive offerings and compliance with EAFab regulations

· Facilitate timely performance assessments, development plans, and counseling

· Coordinate employee benefit programs including but not limited to health insurance, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, COBRA, FMLA, 401K, and other programs

· Administers unemployment, worker’s compensation claims, safety programs, investigates accidents, and prepares reports

· Develop effective employee relations strategies, including investigating and resolving workplace issues while serving as the primary contact for counsel

· Exhibit enthusiasm for continuous learning and consistently demonstrate effective planning, action, and task completion

· Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and positive conduct at all times

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Day-to-Day Activities: 

· Foster an inclusive work environment while also handling workplace issues

· Coordinate recruiting and development initiatives, including onboarding, check-in meetings, and performance management, to enhance employee skills and engagement

· Respond to employee’s benefit questions, resolve problems regarding access to or payment of benefits, orient newly eligible employees, and process enrollment forms and change requests

· Be a friendly and optimistic teammate associates feel comfortable speaking to

Requirements:

· Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Good communication/people skills with high energy levels

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google softwares

· Must be able to pass a drug test
