DoubleTree By Hilton Torrance South Bay is looking for an Executive Housekeeper to join our team. We are located on 21333 Hawthorne Boulevard. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, organized, multi tasked, flexible and engaged.

Responsibilities

Provides supervision and direction for all Housekeeping activities of our Hotel to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained.

• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction in assigning and instructing housekeeping and laundry staff in details of work. Provide staffing, training, counseling, and performance reviews for housekeeping department. 
• Plan, organize, and monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by Hotel & Brand, which requires continuous visual inspection of guest rooms and public space areas including restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, etc.
• Manage finances of housekeeping and laundry operations including budget and inventory controls. Analyze data and compile reports on expenditures, wages, labor, supplies etc. in relation to hotel financial forecasts and budget. Establish and maintain adequate supplies for efficient operation of department. 
• Distribute and delegate workload to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses in terms of labor and materials. Monitor house count and make staffing adjustments accordingly.
• Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for employees and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with hotel Hazcom program.
• Plan, create and develop safety awareness and safety programs to implement within the department to minimize work-related injuries. Motivate staff to work safely through the introduction of incentive programs. 
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Must consistently exhibit a professional demeanor in all interactions with guests, team members, and all hotel ownership and/or management, and its representatives.
• Must be able to consistently report to work on time as scheduled, and be prepared to work as scheduled.
• Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of relevant chemicals. 
• Knowledge of DoubleTree Brand policies applicable to housekeeping, especially those relating to safety and security of guest and hotel property.
• Prior management experience to manage entire housekeeping operation, required.
• Ability to deal effectively with employees, vendors, contractors. 
• Ability to coordinate and cooperate with other departments regarding housekeeping services/activities. 
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and move continuously to inspect rooms on all floors of the hotel. 
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Schedule flexibility is a must.
• Bilingual Eng/Spa - beneficial
