JOB PURPOSE

In this role, you will develop and execute recruitment and talent strategies tailored to the specific needs of each division, department, or project. You will fill open positions across the organization, from Retail Client Advisors to Senior Management. You will manage the full life-cycle recruitment process, including developing job descriptions, posting positions, sourcing candidates, screening and interviewing, and negotiating compensation packages. Additionally, you will partner with internal stakeholders to enhance the candidate and employee experience from pre-hire to retirement. This role also involves driving employer branding, developing internal talent, leading performance management processes, and building a robust talent pipeline.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition:

  • Oversee the hire-to-retire process, ensuring all documentation is managed from pre-employment to post-employment.
  • Source and screen candidates using innovative and cost-effective techniques, including social networking and direct sourcing.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Retail Leadership, and Heads of Functions on search strategies for new store openings and corporate hiring.
  • Conduct initial research and screening of candidates.
  • Develop and implement an empowering talent acquisition operating model/SOP, communicating and training both retail and corporate business leaders.
  • Manage the hiring requisition process, aligning with HR Financial Control and Organization functions, and oversee offer-approval processes.
  • Utilize social media and company branding to attract suitable candidates and build ongoing relationships.
  • Maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity, and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan.
  • Build and manage relationships with external agencies.
  • Master and fully utilize recruiting tools (e.g., Success Factors ATS, LinkedIn) and other technologies to remain competitive in attracting talent.
  • Gather and assess feedback on candidates, partnering with leadership and department managers to evaluate and select the best candidates.
  • Track recruitment metrics to report on open-to-hire, time-to-fill, and other key talent data points.
  • Ensure all new-hire documents and policies are completed and accurate before the employee start date, including I9, and create the employee digital file.
  • Organize new-hire HR onboarding, including employee orientation.

HR Responsibilities:

  • Manage all pre-employment activities, including processing background and reference checks, collecting employment paperwork, preparing onboarding materials, and finalizing systems set-up.
  • Coordinate with IT, Managers, and other departments for new hire setup.
  • Send all offers using the digital onboarding system.
  • Assist with annual HR processes (Performance, Salary, Bonus) and complete all required internal and external audit reports.
  • Maintain current Organization Charts for both corporate and retail.
  • Partner, as required in, managing all employee change letters and ensure data is accurately updated in all systems (HRIS & ADP).
  • Oversee employee termination procedures and conduct exit interviews when necessary.
  • Ensure all employee data in HRIS and ADP is accurate, conducting audits on a consistent basis.
  • Support your colleagues in HR by spearheading system integrations, rollouts, and related employee training.
  • Act as an additional point of contact for external candidates, organizing interviews as necessary.
  • Communicate and escalate potential issues appropriately.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is classified as exempt for purposes of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the New York Labor Law, as this employee’s primary duties consist of the performance of office or non-manual field work directly related to management policies and/or general operations. Moreover, it is expected of this position that the employee will customarily and regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment, utilizing his or her training, experience, and knowledge.
