We provide opportunities to work across our national network. dnata catering U.S. is looking for a Corporate Executive Chef - Center of Excellence to join our Corporate team located in White Plains, NY. Ths position will primarily focus on our halal customer menu development and recipes. 

POSITION SUMMARY We recruit the best, international talent and invest in their ongoing development, through training and mentoring, and by providing opportunities to work across our global network. dnata catering US is looking for a Corporate Controller to join its finance department. This role functions as business partner to Senior Management by providing effective guidance and financial counseling to control business performance. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling, financial analysis, cost accounting, financial reporting, and inventory management. The position will be based in White Plains, NY.

You Will

  • Develop and implement culinary strategies and standards that align with dnata Catering's goals and objectives for aviation catering.
  • Lead and oversee the culinary operations of our Center of Excellence, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency in our aviation catering offerings.
  • Collaborate with our culinary teams at different locations to develop and implement standardized recipes, menu planning, and food presentation guidelines specifically tailored for halal aviation catering.
  • Provide guidance and support to our chefs and culinary staff, ensuring their professional development and adherence to culinary standards in the aviation catering context.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends, techniques, and industry best practices, and incorporate them into our aviation catering offerings.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of our aviation catering operations to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement.
  • Foster a culture of culinary excellence, creativity, and innovation within our aviation catering operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the corporate office, including procurement, operations, and Talent Acquisition to ensure culinary offerings align with market demands and business strategies for aviation catering.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and industry professionals specifically in the aviation catering industry to stay informed about new products, ingredients, and technologies.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

This salary range and is influenced by the level of experience. When calculating the base pay, we take into account various factors such as location, qualifications, training, and experience as part of the overall compensation package. $100,000.00 - $150,000.00

You Have

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred; Associate degree (A.A.) or a minimum of Ten (10) plus years of culinary experience leading a kitchen in high-end establishments.

  • Proven experience as a Corporate Executive Chef or similar leadership role, preferably in the aviation catering or hospitality industry.
  • Experience with high end halal cusine, i.e, South Indian, North Indian, and middle eastern is a must. 
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification.
  • Strong culinary expertise and knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and food safety standards in the aviation catering context.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate culinary teams in the aviation catering industry.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a corporate office setting.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial principles related to culinary operations in the aviation catering industry.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment specific to the aviation catering industry.
  • Proven track record of driving culinary innovation and implementing best practices in the aviation catering context.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends and industry developments in the aviation catering industry.

Intellectual/Social demands:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Work environment:

The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud.
