Boutique reputable_ NYC Family Law Solo Practitioner Firm_ is seeking a highly-skilled, motivated Family Associate Attorney with AT LEAST 1 year of experience in family law to join its downtown NYC office. (We allow hybrid work-from-home 2 days per week!)

IDEAL CANDIDATE would have experience with all phases of NY Family Law cases from intake through settlement/trial. _ Need to be able to manage a caseload of 30 to 40 family law files from intake to trial prep / mediation, including pleadings, motions, court appearances, legal research and writing, providing with the clients with sound legal advice on the issues they're presenting to us, issuing/answering written discovery, brief writing, managing your calendar properly, taking and defending depositions, mediation and trial prep. _

Our firm's owner would like to expand this practice in a national family law firm. Our goal is to hire someone to become the "face of the NY office" so that our owner can focus on the business growth while YOU handle the NY cases. As such, this role is unique in that it provides a lot of autonomy, growth, seniority and you will be paid more as you help us grow.

Our firm has 2 paralegals that will help you on your files. 60% of our cases allow Zoom court, however, you must be willing to commute around the NYC area (all boroughs) for those cases, depositions and mediations that do require "in person" attendance. As such, you will be expected to travel to those court houses and we will reimburse you for mileage.

JOB DUTIES:

• Perform legal research, draft legal documents, perform discovery, attend trials and hearings
• Create and implement policies and procedure within assigned practice group
• Monitor the status of cases to assure deadlines are met and work is complete in a timely manner
• Implement and use processes and technology that enhance the productivity of the legal team

MUST be currently licensed to practice law in NEW YORK.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
