Company Overview:

Our client is a well-respected law firm in Trenton, New Jersey. It is currently seeking a highly skilled Litigation Attorney with 5-8 years of experience to join its team. The hired candidate will have a strong background in litigation, with a focus on appellate and trial courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. While insurance coverage experience is advantageous, it is not required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a diverse caseload involving litigation matters in appellate and trial courts.

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in various stages of litigation proceedings.

  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting of legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.

  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and other court proceedings.

  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and external parties to develop and execute effective litigation strategies.

  • Maintain communication with clients to provide updates on case developments and ensure client satisfaction.

  • Adhere to ethical standards and professional conduct in all aspects of legal representation.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars; New York bar admission is a plus.

  • 5-8 years of litigation experience, with a focus on appellate and trial courts in Pennsylvania.

  • Familiarity and experience with trial courts in the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester, Lancaster, Montgomery, Bucks, Berks, Northampton, Lehigh, and Schuylkill counties preferred.

  • Experience in federal courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania is welcomed.

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and client service.
