Position Summary

The Sales Director will effectively represent Pollard Banknote's new lottery retail sales platform 'EasyVend' in the state of Texas. This role will direct and execute a sales plan into grocery stores/chains and will work closely with internal and external teams to ensure the overall success of the program for Pollard Banknote and Diamond Game, a subsidiary of Pollard Banknote Limited, and the Texas Lottery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective account management strategies for the 'EasyVend' product into grocery stores/chains, while collaborating with third parties involved in the process, i.e. the Texas Lottery and the Lottery's central system provider.
  • Develop and implement a sales plan to recruit new retail customers.
  • Act as strategic business partner to customers to optimize the positioning of Pollard Banknote products and services and to attain profitability objectives.
  • Assess the competitive environment and develop sales strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and drive a competitive advantage.
  • Accountable for establishing and maintaining relationships with appropriate internal partners.
  • Become well-versed in 'EasyVend' product, to enable effective selling to retailers.
  • Plan your sales activities and keep effective records of those activities and follow up action items.
  • Provide sales reports as required by supervisor.
  • Think critically and creatively to identify opportunities and execute on those opportunities and to solve customer issues.
  • Work closely with your supervisor and the Diamond Game service team to provide a team-oriented approach to satisfying customers.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to practice Diamond Game's core values and apply them.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as needed and/or requested by management.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related fi
  • 10 years of experience in sales or business development, with solid and proven experience in the grocery sector preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Director or similar leadership role.
  • Demonstrated track record in negotiating and achieving sales targets.
  • Established relationships in the grocery industry, both at the local level and corporate level preferred.
  • Experience with lottery a plus.

Knowledge and Abilities Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, sales processes, and customer relationship management.
  • Exceptional analytical and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the sales process from start to fi
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be highly organized, clear thinking, and able to work well both alone and with others inside and outside the organization.
  • Must have polished presentation and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, integrity, and demonstrated ability to close.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and make intelligent recommendations to improve product performance.
  • Can work under deadlines.
  • Must be able to accommodate 90% travel requirements.
  • Must have a clean driving record.

  • Other activities will occur in office and warehouse environments as required.
  • Travel between locations will primarily be by car on local roads.
