We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an Employee Relations Specialist. Position plays a vital role in cultivating positive employee relations and maintaining a healthy work atmosphere. You will manage all employee relations matters, offer guidance to both management and staff and conduct training sessions for the leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain legal compliance by monitoring and implementing pertinent federal and state human resource regulations, encompassing policies, procedures, record-keeping, and employee relations/investigations.
  • Engage in regular communication with employees via email, telephone, and video conferencing.
  • Provide support to leadership throughout the discipline process.
  • Foster a friendly and welcoming environment for employees during all HR-related interactions.
  • Assist in addressing employee questions or concerns.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional associations.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as delegated.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in either a Human Resources Generalist or Manager role within a larger organization comprising 400 employees.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Experience in coaching and advising managers on employee relations issues.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification a plus.
  • Extensive understanding of State and Federal employment regulations and guidelines
  • Prior or existing familiarity with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Approachable demeanor conducive to collaborative work with all employees and departments.
  • Adaptability to managing shifting priorities and tasks.
  • Capability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality.

The base pay range for this position is $25.00-30.00 per hour.

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Derrick range for this position in the given work location. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors including internal equity, location, education, certifications, and experience. The range(s) listed is just one component of Derrick's total employee compensation package. Other rewards may include profit sharing, paid time off, a 401K plan, and many region-specific benefits.
