    Duties
  • Assist the Director of Human Resources in coordinating activities and providing staff guidance and policy support to the Director, DoDEA, and subordinate program managers.
  • Plan and establish program objectives, content, procedures, and policies for a diverse worldwide workforce of personnel appointed under a wide variety of laws, regulations, and international agreements (e.g., status of forces).
  • Supervise the Operations and Integration Branch and Advisory Support Branch of the DoDEA Human Resources Division.
  • Advise on the impact of HR, organizational, and mission-related proposals and ensures that proposed changes do not violate statutes, applicable Human Resources Management (HRM) regulations, case law, and provisions of negotiated agreements.
  • Consult with other senior DoDEA management and staff officials to establish program/project objectives and timelines.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of DoDEA training, marketing, and promotional strategies.
  • Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.

  • In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

    Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing objectives for Human Resources Management (HRM) programs, determining impact of new or modified guidance on Human Resources (HR) programs and/or resources, analyzing HR staffing and/or HR systems operations to solve problems and/or improve programs, advising on policy or strategic initiatives of HR matters, and supervising employees and/or leading teams. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
