This position is full-time (Monday-Friday) on-site between our headquarters in New Hyde Park and Melville! 

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented AP Analyst to join our fast-growing Dental Service Organization (DSO). As an AP Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the finance team by ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a rapidly expanding organization within the dental industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process and review a high volume of accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices, ensuring adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and appropriate supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve discrepancies, obtain approvals, and clarify any payment-related issues.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and communicate with vendors to address inquiries or resolve payment concerns.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Generate reports on accounts payable activities, such as aging reports, vendor statements, and open invoice listings, to support financial analysis and decision-making.
• Identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of improvement within the AP process and provide actionable recommendations to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all accounts payable records, including invoices, payment confirmations, and vendor contracts.
• Collaborate with the finance team, procurement, and other stakeholders to streamline AP processes, improve vendor relationships, and enhance financial controls.
• Act as a resource to internal departments, assisting with inquiries related to accounts payable policies, procedures, and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree in: Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Understanding of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures.
• Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Salary range: $55,000-65,000 annually
