Full service law firm with offices throughout Florida, as well as in California, Washington, D.C. and through affiliates in the rest of the United States is looking for a personal injury paralegal to join their team. Ideal candidates will have experience in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, class action and mass tort. Candidates must have law firm experience. This is an onsite position in the firm's Boca Raton, FL office.
Duties include but are not limited to general attorney support, preparing/drafting correspondence and pleadings/discovery, managing attorney calendars, managing trial deadlines, preparing pre-trial binders/preparations, scheduling, coordinating and confirming hearings; depositions; mediation; EUO's; 'prep' with attorneys', meetings, etc., issuing and following up on subpoenas (when applicable) and ensuring documents are saved and filed into the appropriate document management system.
Qualifications:

• Must have 2-5 years of experience in a law firm setting
• Must have knowledge of personal injury law, experience in the areas of wrongful death, class action and mass tort is a plus
• Bilingual preferred but not required
• Must have good attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to take initiative in handling projects, anticipating what needs to be done
• Must have the ability to understand and follow specific instructions in oral and written form
• Must have knowledge of state or federal court rules and e-filing procedures, or ability to review same for further reference
• Mus have excellent typing skills; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; PDF applications (Adobe, Foxit, etc.) and document/case management (preferably Client Profiles/Aderant)
• Must be highly organized, self-motivating and a self-starter
• Must be a diligent and positive worker, able to work in a team atmosphere, positive, self-starter and eager to learn and advance.
