Democratic National Committee (DNC) is Hiring a Coordinated Human Resources Director Near Wilmington, DE

Overview:

We are seeking talent to help lead us to victory in 2024. We are seeking a Coordinated HR Director to lead Human Resources and People Operations for coordinated campaign staff. This person will manage and create joint processes for the national coordinated campaign. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, implement, and and manage systems to ensure recruitment of diverse teams.
  • Manage and develop regular reporting to ensure that hiring, and onboarding for national coordinated staff proceeds smoothly and efficiently, including getting leadership approvals 
  • Develop and oversee the plan for keeping all stakeholders informed of key HR issues involving Coordinated staff including employee relations issues and escalation
  • Act as primary point of contact for Wilmington based coordinated staff to facilitate effective communication to both the DNC and BFP campaign regarding coordinated employees
  • Serve as the subject matter expert of the operation of state staff covered under Collective Bargaining Agreements for strategic planning with the National States Team 
  • Work with DNC’s HR and BFP’s Operations team to ensure Day One orientation and onboarding for coordinated employees goes smoothly 
  • Partner with DNC and BFP to ensure integration and inclusion of coordinated employees as part of “one campaign team”
  • Act as a thought partner to various stakeholders across coordinated organizations to ensure employee experiences are as similar as possible; such as developing training touchpoints and employee engagement opportunities
  • Liaise with DNC’s HR team for questions related to coordinated employees’ benefits and payroll 
  • Ensure compliance with all policy related matters including Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • Work with managers on performance management, conducting performance reviews and/or improvement plans where needed
  • Work with coordinated employees on any employee relations issues, managing conflicts, and conducting investigations and dispute resolution 
  • Oversee the States Coordinated HR regional desks (anticipating four direct reports)
  • Ensure parity between DNC and BFP employees in Wilmington HQ

Preferred Skills & Qualifications: 

  • 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Employee Experience, or Campaign Operations 
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with others, seeking out and building positive working relationships both inside the People team and cross-functionally 
  • Experience working in or around Coordinated Campaigns
  • Proficiency in HR software, data interpretation, and reporting 
Salary: The starting salary for the Coordinated Human Resources Director position is $120,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 30, 2024.
