The Executive Director of Human Resources is responsible for the short- and long-term planning of the Human Resources function for the resort. Leading strategically and tactically in the areas of workforce planning, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, employee and labor relations, benefits, workforce training and development and local diversity initiatives.

  • Responsible for the daily operations of the Human Resources department.
  • Develop and implement Human Resources strategies in partnership with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement.
  • Create and enhance the culture of growth and development through training, onboarding, succession planning and skills development.
  • Administer appropriate disciplinary procedures as necessary and within the established guidelines.
  • Aligning strategic business goals through frequent interaction and communication with the DLLM General Managers.
  • Acts as a coach, sounding board, and counsel regarding all employe manners.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of all relevant legislation including but not limited to EEO laws, COBRA laws, OSHA laws, unemployment laws, workmen’s compensation laws, H2-B, J-1 or similar workforce Visas, and immigration laws.
  • Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and the recommended best practices.
  • Promotes the development and execution of effective, proactive, targeted talent acquisition strategies to meet current and future hiring needs for the property through the right processes, protocols, programs, and initiatives that effectively source viable candidates, practicing the employer’s equal opportunity and diversity initiatives.
  • Oversight and safekeeping of all employee personnel files, upholding their confidentiality.
  • Work with necessary managers and/or employees to investigate personnel issues, claims or infringements, and document necessary reports for personnel files.
  • Utilize data to analyze, monitor, identify trends and recommend improvements enhancing the workplace, such as exit interviews, turnover, absenteeism, time to fill, cost to hire, engagement, etc.

  • College/University degree required,
  • 5 years of experience in a leading human resources position with employment of over 250 employees.
  • Hospitality experience preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and occasionally reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The staff member will work in a high traffic/high volume business environment and will be required to spend a majority of their time standing/walking and/or sitting at their desk.
