DeHoyos Law is Hiring a Case Manager Near Houston, TX

Personal Injury Case Manager
We are hiring a Case Manager for a personal injury law firm. We are focused on delivering excellent customer service no matter the size of the case. The case manager will assist clients with intake, treatment, property damage, collection of medical records, and demands. We are looking for candidates with great communication skills and the ability to manage a high paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Case Evaluation and Intake:

  • Conduct initial assessments of personal injury cases, evaluating their merits and determining their viability.
  • Interview clients to gather necessary information, such as accident details, injuries sustained, and medical history.
  • Review relevant documents, including police reports, medical records, and insurance policies.
  • Conduct pre-litigation discovery to identify potential issues with the case.

2. Client Management and Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on case progress and addressing their concerns.
  • Offer guidance and support to clients throughout the legal process, explaining their rights, potential outcomes, and available options.
  • Coordinate client appointments with healthcare providers, ensuring timely access to medical treatments.

3. Document and File Management:

  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, ensuring all relevant documentation is collected and updated.
  • Prepare legal documents, such as demand letters, public information requests, and correspondence.
  • Track important deadlines, such as statutes of limitations, or notifications deadlines for public entities.

4. Communication and Collaboration:

  • Liaise with attorneys, insurance adjusters, and medical professionals to gather information and negotiate settlements.
  • Communicate case updates, negotiations, and settlement offers to clients and attorneys.

5. Financial Management:

  • Assist with the calculation of damages, including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies to ensure timely processing of claims and reimbursement.
  • Monitor settlement payments and disbursements.

6. Compliance and Ethics:

  • Adhere to legal and ethical standards in all aspects of case management, ensuring confidentiality and client privacy.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to personal injury cases.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Fluent in Spanish is preferred.
  • Proven experience in personal injury case management or a related legal field is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of personal injury laws, legal procedures, and medical terminology.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using case management software, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ethical conduct and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
