The Accounting Assistant is responsible for administrative support to accountants or an accounting department by performing various clerical tasks, such as filing, mail handling, making bank deposits and keeping bank records, handling invoices, tracking expenses for specific projects, and bookkeeping.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Create and update expense reports
- Process reimbursement forms
- Prepare bank deposits
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases
- Check spreadsheets for accuracy
- Maintain digital and physical financial records
- Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
- Review and file payroll documents
- Participate in quarterly and annual audits
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma – Required
- 3 years of current accounting experience – Required
- Accounting Degree – Preferred
- Financial and Managerial accounting experience – Required
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Excel
- Experience with working with multiple companies under the umbrella, including non-profit
- Must have close the month experience
- Attention to detail
- Willing to learn attitude
Job Details:
- Schedule: M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Starting at $23/hr. (based on experience) benefits.
- Full benefits – healthcare, dental, vision, 401k program.
- Temp-to-Hire opportunity.
