DD Factor is Hiring an Executive Chef Near Long Beach, CA

Upscale restaurant/lounge in Orange County is looking for a chef to help transform the menu and dining experience. This restaurant has withstood the test of time and has been the go-to spot for drinks and great food and is ready to shake it up a bit.

Pay & Perks of Chef Position:

Salary: Starting Base Salary up to $100K plus strong bonus
Benefits: Insurance paid (Medical, Dental, Vision)
Hours Expected: Around 50 hours per week (only open 4 dinner services!)
This position offers a great work/life balance as the restaurant is only open 4 nights a week (no lunch service).

Job Description/Environment of Chef:

Looking for a chef that is great with Mediterranean cuisine, including the southern regions as well. This chef must have high food standards, the ability to train a strong kitchen crew while working side by side with them to ensure every plate going out is perfect.
This chef also has a working knowledge of pizza and tapas style food (not all Spanish but small bites). This is a hands on, working chefs position and we are looking for a chef that still genuinely loves to COOK.
We are specifically looking for a chef coming from very noteworthy restaurants (Michelin star included)
You will be tasked with creating and tasting a new menu with the owners and keeping it fresh and seasonal with ongoing changes.
You must have a strong financial acumen as you will be costing out each dish as well as overseeing all of the kitchens COGs
You will be expected to work a 5th day but that day is used for inventory, R&M and all admin.
