JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: HR Coordinator Department:

Reports to: Effective Date:

The Human Resources Coordinator facilitates and coordinates various human resource processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, HR compliance, performance management, and training & development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the recruitment process by posting job openings with internal recruiter, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Participate in local career fairs and partner with educational institutions to promote career opportunities.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, organizing orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system.
  • Administer the performance review and disciplinary action process in collaboration with department managers.
  • Administer the training and development program in partnership with department managers, identifying training needs and coordinating relevant programs.
  • Answer incoming calls professionally and efficiently by asking detailed questions to ensure that the customer is routed to the correct department on the initial call.
  • Greet all client and vendor walk-ins with a courteous and professional manner so that each person feels a warm welcome.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years previous experience in human resources or administration role preferred; AA Preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with HRIS systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position operates in a professional office setting with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
