SUMMARY
Sr HR Generalist is responsible for performing duties in the followingareas: recruiting, employee relations, onboarding,HR Administration, and policy implementation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition
Provide recruitment for exempt, non-exempt personnel, and temporary employees as needed
Establish strong positive relationships with hiring managers
Learn and understand the positions and talent requirements within D&H
Gain a solid understanding of the business and organizational structure to ensure a successful business partnership
Manage and coordinate onboarding process including background checks, drug tests, new hire paperwork, files, orientation, training, and mentor program
Manage company internship program
Understand our compensation structure and demonstrate the ability to make effective compensation recommendations to hiring managers
Learning & CareerDevelopment
Partner with Learning & Development team by making recommendations for program enhancements and organizational development needs
Establish and actively participate in a network of HR professionals (i.e. local SHRM chapter)
Performance Management
Drive performance review process/40-80 day reviews/assist with implementation of new Performance Mgmt system
Total Rewards
Manage the D&H Anniversary Program
Diversity, Equity,Inclusion
Recommend and actively participate in DE&I initiatives across the company
Work with the marketing events team on corporate initiatives that drive engagement
HR Systems
Compile reports from HRIS and ATS systems
Policy & Compliance
Employee relations counseling, discipline, and exit interviewing
Manage Leaves process (FMLA, ADA, STD, etc) process for Corporate co-owners
Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
Responsible for employment verifications and Unemployment Claims completion
Stay up-to-date of and ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws requirements by enforcing adherence to requirements
Administration of policies/procedures in a fair and consistent manner
ADDITIONAL DUTIES/SKILLS
Meet deadlines in a fast-paced and high-intensity environment
Perform clerical and administrative duties with accuracy and attention to detail
Communicate effectively with high degree of professionalism
Ability to pitch in and help with needs of HR department as needed
Excellent communication with all employees to ensure that they receive all information necessary for success.
Excellent organizing, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills, including understanding when it is necessary to operate with a strong sense of urgency.
Must have knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs, policies, and procedures as well as other pertinent HR law and regulations.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience using HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and establish priorities, meet multiple deadlines, and handle multiple competing tasks and demand.
Maintain a high degree of professionalism and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Keeps work area neat, clean and hazard free.
Other related duties as assigned.
