Customer Value Partners is Hiring a Project Manager (NIH) Near Rockville, MD

Overview

CVP is seeking a Project Manager to support a large scale, multi-year public health and precision medicine initiative at the National Institutes of Health in Rockville, MD. The Project Manager will lead an interdisciplinary team of CVP professionals (IT project managers, product managers, agile coaches, project analysts) in collaboration with government research leaders and IT application and product development vendors. The Project Manager, as part of the CVP team, will deliver an end-to-end program and product lifecycle approach to the research program’s IT/digital products, strengthen program and project execution, implement continuous process improvement, and help the program realize the next generation of research objectives using advanced technologies, standards-based IT PM practices, change management, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the HHS EPLC project management methodology and implement PMI best practices; 
  • Deliver full project management life-cycle solutions including planning, tracking deployment, completion, and retirement for projects, upon request; 
  • Develop effective plans and minimize changes by setting realistic objectives; Facilitate communication and consensus building among various project groups; 
  • Use client-provided project management software to track projects as specified; Develop and maintain operational maintenance plans and procedures for completed projects; 
  • Support the development of government-generated Service Level Agreements with defined response, performance, and quality components, measures, costs and cost projections for service areas and track and report adherence to approved and implemented agreements; Contribute in the overall performance reporting to client reporting and operations management; and 
  • Have subject matter expert and technical expertise where needed determined by the government.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience managing IT projects.
  • Must have experience with end user support projects
  • Must be certified Program Management Professional (PgMP), certified Project Management Professional (PMI), or equivalent certification, and have experience in project management, budget, and forecasting toolsets.
  • ITIL foundation certification preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with the HHS EPLC management methodology is highly desirable
  • Experience with helpdesk support
