Description

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for growing RISE’s packaging and assembling business through supporting existing clients while identifying and developing new relationships to achieve sales targets. The primary focus on this role will be to research business and industries to create future long term partnerships.

You will manage all facets of the sales process, from initial prospecting to preparing quotes and account management, through phone, email, and in-person and video meetings. You will learn about industries and companies looking for opportunities to provide a valuable service that is win-win-win, and have an opportunity to make a significant impact on their business.

Reporting to the VP of Rise Packaging and Assembling, they will work as part of a broader team that will help enable customer acquisition, growth and retention.

Collaboration, learning, and career development at RISE takes place in real-time and therefore Remote candidates will not be considered.

Travel Requirements: Some overnight travel is required as well as some local/regional car travel for sales calls. Company car will be made available. Must have a valid driving license and a clean driving record for the last 5 years.

Primary Job Duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Business Development through research, social media, attending trade shows and association events
  • Use the CRM to compile and maintain lists of prospects and existing customers, communication outreach and outcomes for the purpose of expanding the customer base;
  • Through consistent phone and email outreach develop new accounts and maintain existing customer relationships
  • Regularly communicates and meets with current and potential customers to discuss current and potential needs
  • Executes defined strategic sales/marketing plans and programs, both short and long term, to support sales and revenue objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry associates and community partners.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations to potential customers in a professional and effective manner
  • Ability to effectively manage sales opportunities and create quotes that meet company gross margins

  • Promotes the company’s products and services addressing or predicting the clients objectives
  • Bachelor Degree in Business and 2 years of experience or 5 years of experience in sales, account management, business development with a track record of success
  • Excels at providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to confidently and effectively communicate at all levels in an organization
  • Good at connecting on social media and via email, and even better at connecting on phone and in person; urge to pick up the phone or visit in person and make things happen
  • Driven, competitive, self-motivated, and a team player
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage their time

  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
