Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliation of accounts.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Payment Processing: Coordinate and execute payment processes, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers, while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, resolve discrepancies, and address inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Expense Reporting: Assist in the preparation of expense reports and analysis, providing insights to support decision-making processes.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
• Month-end Close: Support month-end closing activities, including accruals, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounts payable function.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in accounts payable or relevant accounting roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in accounts payable or related field (e.g., Certified Accounts Payable Associate - CAPA).
• Experience with SAGE.
• Prior experience in process improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with tax compliance and reporting requirements.
