Job Description:
As a Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs and protocols that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Your duties will include:
• Leading safety initiatives and promoting a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
• Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Providing safety training and education to employees at all levels, including new hire orientations and ongoing refresher courses.
• Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
• Keeping abreast of changes in safety regulations and industry standards, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in Manufactuing.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, such as OSHA, EPA, and NFPA.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate employees at all levels.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience leading safety initiatives and teams.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
