This role is far more than the sum of its tasks. As a Case Manager with BLF, you are a lynchpin in the fabric of our client's lives. You will be a key influencer in their legal journey, providing not just legal support but emotional sustenance. Your role is pivotal in shaping the experience of our clients, ensuring they feel more than just represented; they feel understood, cared for, and genuinely supported in their time of need. Your actions, decisions, and interactions will have a lasting impact, making every day you work a chance to make a meaningful difference.

What you'll do:

  • Comprehensive Case Management: Handle and progress a high-volume caseload with meticulous attention to detail, moving clients through the entire client experience journey, from intake to (favorable-to-the-firm) case closure.
  • Client Advocacy and Communication: Be the primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance and empathetic support.
  • Administrative Excellence: Oversee all aspects of case management, ensuring all legal and client-focused needs are efficiently met.

Decision Making & Problem Solving:

    • Apply expertise to resolve complex case scenarios and operational challenges.
    • Demonstrate adaptability within established legal procedures, applying innovative problem-solving skills.

General Duties:

    • Draft and manage contingency fee agreements, medical releases, and case management-related documents.
    • Create and maintain virtual and physical files for each case.
    • Conduct in-depth intake interviews and open claims with insurance carriers.
    • Draft and send representation letters to insurance adjusters and medical providers.
    • Work diligently to obtain policy limits from the defendant’s carrier.
    • Craft and dispatch welcome letters to new clients and necessary communications to dropped clients.
    • Assist clients in locating and scheduling treatment and verify treatment compliance.
    • Conduct regular care calls to clients, maintaining a connection every 20-35 days.
    • Request, obtain, review, and organize medical records.
    • Obtain and review police reports, witness statements, and evidence such as photos.
    • Track case costs and manage financial aspects such as PIP liens and health insurance liens.
    • Draft demand letters and settlement memos.

What we're looking for:

  • Experienced and Empathetic: With 4-5 years in a role within personal injury law, deeply understanding client advocacy.
  • Detail-Oriented: A professional who excels in managing intricate details and navigating the complexities of legal processes.
  • Adaptable and Resilient: Comfortable in a dynamic, evolving environment, ready to tackle challenges head-on.
  • Self-Reliant and Execution: Without evolution, newness, and innovation, there’s death - you’re self-autonomous, thrive in an environment with a start-up sense of urgency, and have a growth mindset

Why you should work here:

  • Empowering Culture: Join a team that values your contribution, in an environment that fosters mutual respect and professional growth.
  • Impactful Work: Engage in meaningful work that makes a real difference in our clients' lives, with opportunities for personal and professional development.
