Real Estate - Assistant Controller

Role Responsibilities : Real Estate Assistant Controller

• Ability to supervise and Review the work of staff accountants.
• Review lease compliance
• Prepare CAM, Tax billings, and Operating Escalations
• Maintain books and records for properties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with the company's internal controls
• Prepare year-end work papers for the tax accountants
• Record activity at the property level via journal entries
• Deal with cash management, distributions, etc
• Project Cost Accounting Financial reporting

Preferred Qualifications: Real Estate Assistant Controller

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field in conjunction with accounting experience
• 5 years of commercial real estate accounting experience or comparable public accounting experience
• High degree of proficiency with Excel
• Expertise in Yardi, MRI, or related Real Estate software program
