Our growing company, CORG Management Group, LLC (CORG) is looking fill the role of a Full-Time Proposal Writer/Business Development Manager. Responsibilities for Proposal Writer/Business Development Manager
  • Reach out to Small Business Specialist and other mutually agreed and professionals working at government agencies to obtain capabilities meeting for CORG
  • Search for leftover funds for 8(a) sole source opportunities at the end of each fiscal year
  • Project manages assigned proposal responses and presentations
  • Collaborates with leadership and all key individuals to develop strategies, clear and
  • Leads by example and models behavior that is consistent with the company's values
  • Write, edit and produce government and private RFP responses and all supporting documents, on time and in an efficient manner (especially from a production cost standpoint).
  • Review and edit proposal responses to determine compliance with RFP requirements.
  • Maintain close contact with all key individuals at various stages of proposal preparations, for example, Subject Matter Experts and Key Stakeholders.
  • Establish, distribute, and manage proposal schedules and drive progress towards establishment of deadlines.
  • Participate in mapping sessions with the RFP Team to determine the direction and focus for every proposal response commitment
  • Maintain appropriate version control of all printed materials.
  • Responsible for ensuring all proposal responses are properly formatted and meet/exceed expected standards and requirements as outlined in the RFP request.
  • Easily adapt to the changing requirements of the proposal plan and/or other related production requirements.
  • Collaborate with various Subject Matter Experts from various departments to assimilate content for RFPs.
  • Look for ways to further enhance all documentation through the use of graphics, breakout quotes and other visuals that further enhance readability and interest.
  • Provide editorial support on all departmental collateral materials including company brochures, case studies, manuals and other documents as assigned.
  • Manages proposal development effort, resource planning, and quality control in support of operating business units.
  • Ensure relevant stakeholders are made aware of requests in a timely manner
  • Schedule pre-planning, proposal kickoff, and touch base meetings with relevant stakeholders
  • Determines and communicates schedules and assignments for compiling proposal-related documents; ensures client deadlines are met
  • Complete Risk Assessment and Credit Assessment (when applicable)
  • Create Quote against Opportunity in CRM; update quote with adjusted contract values when applicable; update quote with contract status (win, loss, canceled, etc.)
  • Coordinates and consolidates team questions/RFI’s and submits to prospect
  • Creates document foundation
  • Includes applicable boilerplate content
  • Serve as central point for collecting proposal collateral
  • Engages graphic design and editorial resources as needed
  • Assemble proposal document(s)
  • Proofread, format, ensure consistency, etc.
  • Revise/update document(s)
  • Produce final document copy for submission
  • Saves all final documents, graphics, pricing, and RFP documents to shared location for future reference
  • Facilitate contract internal review and redline process
  • Facilitate Presentation lifecycle (pre-planning through contract execution) for contract-related initiatives.
Qualifications for Proposal Writer/Business Development Manager
  • Very familiar with RFP’s, RFQ’s and RFI’s review and responses.
  • Passionate about writing, content development, and copyediting
  • Self-starter with the ability to simultaneously carry out multiple projects
  • Must possess knowledge of Government Contacting
  • Look for ways to further enhance all documentation through the use of graphics, breakout quotes and other visuals that further enhance readability and interest
  • Facilitate all proposal - and project-related communications, ensuring all deadlines and quality controls are met
  • Track and incorporate all input provided by subject matter experts and other reviewers throughout the proposal process, following up as needed to ensure all proposal questions have a thorough, accurate, and compelling response
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English, Communications or Marketing from an accredited university
  • At least two years of related marketing, communications, or business development experience
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents
  • Familiarity with Adobe Professional design software (InDesign, Photoshop, Muse) preferred, but not mandatory
