Utility Project Manager - Transportation 

Cordoba Corporation is seeking a Utility Project Manager for our Transportation Sector. The Utility Project Manager identifies utilities and implements strategies to clear any potential conflicts. As such, they should have a vast technical understanding of the project and be well-versed in the laws and regulations of the relevant jurisdictions and utility owners. 

Responsibilities

• The Utility Project Manager acts as the liaison among project stakeholders. This includes the project designers, utility owners, and right-of-way owners.
• Partnering with the utility industry is crucial for their buy-in, especially regarding potentially relocating their utilities.
• The Utility Project Manager’s job is to ensure any important information is being properly communicated to each party, including utility identification matrices, as-builts, and other records, investigation of agreements and prior rights, subsurface utility investigation, conflict resolution, and ensuring conformance with state/federal regulations and industry standards.
• Must communicate schedule updates and detailed utility information and produce/review/verify design plans and reports.
• The Utility Project Manager may be asked to provide guidance/mentoring to more junior staff
• Supports business development efforts

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 10 years’ experience performing similar work
• Utility and stakeholder collaboration experience
• Client engagement/management experience
• Wet and dry utility relocation, design, or construction experience
• Right-of-way experience
• Scope of work development and management experience
• Schedule management experience
• Contract negotiation and change management experience
• Process improvement experience
• Quality management experience

Required Knowledge:

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of transportation infrastructure project lifecycle
• Knowledge of project development phases, processes, and procedures
• Knowledge of wet and dry utility standards and requirements
• Knowledge of real estate/right-of-way requirements and processes
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices
