About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP Field Sales to drive new sales across its network. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, guiding, and motivating the sales team, ensuring that the full suite of transportation services is provided to customers. This role requires strong leadership, sales, and management abilities, as well as the capacity to work with senior management to achieve sales and margin objectives. The VP Field Sales will also assist in attracting and developing future sales leaders, manage the Salesforce CRM initiative, and provide a solid work ethic consistent with the company's corporate strategy and culture.Applicants must have a Bachelor's or Associate degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, international trade, or a related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in the transportation/logistics industry, with at least 5 years in a sales role. Knowledge of product spot market pricing, a complete understanding of the freight forwarding transportation industry, and good knowledge of U.S. and global geography are essential. Technical skills required include proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate Excel skills, and experience with CRM applications, preferably Salesforce. The role demands a dedicated commitment to superior customer service, strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment. The VP Field Sales must be able to travel 50%-75% of the time and have a valid driver's license.
